Texarkana Texas Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred in the 800 block of Willis Street in Texarkana, Texas. Shortly after 6:00pm Monday, Thurston Robinson,19, exited his residence to check on a noise he had heard. As he approached his vehicle, he observed a black subject (unknown male or female) inside his vehicle. Robinson grabbed the suspect in an attempt to get the person out of his car, at which time the suspect shot him one time in his left arm.  After the shooting, the suspect fled the scene on foot. Police are investigating three armed robberies that occurred within 30 minutes of each other.   According to Texarkana Texas Police Department, around 12:13 a.m. this morning, the Texarkana Texas Police Department responded to an armed robbery at the Valero Gas Station, located in the 2300 block of Richmond Road.  While investigating, police were notified approximately 15 minutes later of the second armed robbery at the Exxon Super Station in the 3700 block of New Boston Road.  The third, in the 1500 block of North State Line Avenue in Texarkana, Arkansas.... Thursday afternoon drug raid, nabs 2 men with drugs. It happened just after 4:30pm at a home on Nibilick Steet. Members of the Gregg County Organized Drug Unit and Longview SWAT team raided the home and made several arrests on drug charges. According to reports, authorities arrested William Bradley Smith, 34, and Monta Lamon Sherow, 32, both of Longview for possession of 4 to 200 grams of methamphetamines.   On January 11, 2014, at approximately 11:36 a.m., the Tyler Police Department received a call that the Valero Station located at 6500 South Broadway had been robbed at gunpoint. Officers arrived on scene and determined the robbery occurred approximately thirty minutes earlier. An unknown male suspect entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded money. Juan Alfredo Gandarilla, 43, a Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender, is now in custody after being arrested in El Paso Monday night by U.S. Customs and Border Protection at the Bridge of the Americas.  Gandarilla turned himself in to authorities, and stated that he did not want to be arrested in Mexico. Gandarilla was wanted for failure to comply with sex offender registration and parole violation. A Gregg County man who thought he was meeting a 14-year-old boy for sex when he was arrested last year, pleads guilty Monday to online solicitation of a minor. According to the Longview News-Journal, Christopher Scott Church, 35, was handed a 12-year prison sentence. He had faced up to 20 years for the second-degree felony. Church was given credit for the 329 days he has spent in the Gregg County Jail since his March 13 arrest in a Longview Police Department sting in cooperation with the Dallas Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Both Accused of Sexual Assault

The Texarkana Arkansas Police Department arrested two juvenile suspects, 14 and 15 years of age in connection of a reported sexual assault that occurred on January 15th, at the Arkansas High School Campus in Texarkana, Arkansas. The alleged incident took place during school hours. Child reportedly being treated for trauma to the brain.

On Friday, December 28th,   2012, the Titus County Sheriff’s Office was made aware by Child Protective Services of an approximate 10 week old child of which was at the Titus Regional Medical Center in Mount Pleasant and reportedly being treated for trauma to the brain.  Sheriff’s Investigators immediately launched an investigation and learned that the child would soon be flown to Children’s Hospital in Dallas to be treated.  Investigators say that after interviewing the father of the child, it was determined that the child was injured while in the car...
